Description

SN: 170452650
Meter: 538,171

The fully automated DC-646 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser is Duplo’s mid-range, precision finisher. With its ability to slit/cut/crease, perforate and fold in one pass, the DC-646 delivers professionally-finished applications up to 30 sheets per minute.

Eliminate touchpoints and increase productivity. Finish digital print jobs in faster turnarounds. Ideal for short to mid-production runs, the DC-646 produces a variety of applications such as 24-up business cards, postcards, coupons and tickets, book covers, and much more. Bring precision finishing in-house!

NO MANUAL SET UPS

Cut job costs by doing away with time-consuming set ups and make-ready times. With the DC-646, you can efficiently operate the system from a PC station (sold separately). The PC Controller software makes it easy to program jobs for multiple-up finishing with up 8 slits, 25 cuts and 20 creases. Save time by storing virtually an unlimited number of jobs on the hard drive and recall them when needed. Use the job template library and sample PDFs to ensure margins and gutters are set correctly for optimal finishing.

AUTOMATED REGISTRATION & CHANGEOVERS

Reduce downtime between jobs by adding a barcode and registration marks. When reading the barcode, the built-in CCD scanner can automatically recall and change over the job in an instant without any intervention required. The CCD scanner can also read the registration marks on every sheet to compensate for any shrinkage and image shift, in both horizontal and vertical directions, on the fly.

The DC-646 utilizes Duplo’s signature air suction belt feed system, which feeds from the top of the stack to minimize scuffing and reduces static between the sheets. The ultrasonic double feed sensor detects when two or more sheets have been fed with rejects sent to a reject tray. In addition, its soft sponge rollers allow you to finish raised spot UV coated applications with confidence.

PRECISION FINISHING SECOND TO NONE

Automating the finishing process allows your operator to focus on other tasks. Equipped with rotary slitters, a guillotine cutter, and a depth-adjustable creaser – the DC-646 offers the versatility of multiple devices in one. Margins and gutters are trimmed horizontally by the slitter and vertically by the cutter then deposited into the waste bin. Only the finished pieces are delivered on the exit tray.

Creasing digitally-printed jobs such as greeting cards, book covers, and brochures prior to folding prevents toner cracking and unattractive fold lines. The creaser utilizes male and female matrix channels to create a hinge along the sheet to be folded with ease. Use the adjustable 3-step crease depth to optimize performance.

Seller's Terms

Payment Deadline is 3 Business Days After Auction Closes

If you have any questions, please feel free to call us @ (636) 757-3594 or E-mail: Sales@PrinterStrategies.com

We are selling the best assets of multiple printing companies in one auction. We DO NOT provide any warranties or guarantees. While we try and test every item, that is not always possible. If we know an item is problematic, we will state such in the description. Otherwise, any item without a video is sold 'as-is'. Printer Strategies strongly encourages bidders to come and inspect the items in person, or to send a representative to evaluate the item(s) for their own self-interest. Only items specifically shown in pictures/video will be sent with the item, unless otherwise stated in the description. If you think something is missing from the pictures or you're unsure what's included, please ask us about it!

The majority of equipment is located in our warehouse in St. Charles Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. We are 15 minutes from the airport and centrally located near many major US highways. We welcome you to come see lots in person prior to bidding. For those not visiting, we have done our best to provide as much information about these items as possible. The descriptions are taken primarily from the manufacturer’s website. There are things we do not have perfect knowledge of because features change. When there is a discrepancy between the written description and the actual item, the photographs will win out. You are bidding on the items in the photographs, not the written descriptions. Please make sure to look over ALL images. All listings show the actual location of the items unless otherwise stated; should you want to inspect an item not at our St. Charles warehouse, contact us to help you set that up.

Terms: All items are sold as is. We do not provide any warranties or guarantees unless given in writing in advance by PS. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to read all the Seller’s terms and conditions, including the terms listed in the description under each listing. Some items may be refurbished or otherwise may provide some guarantees, if so, that will be clearly noted in the item description. Those guarantees only exist for that specific item.

Binding Contract: If you are the highest bidder on a lot when the lot closes, you agree to purchase that lot for the Hammer Price plus the Buyer’s Premium.

Buyer’s Premium: You agree to pay a Buyer’s Premium of 10% of the Hammer Price in addition to the Hammer Price of a lot you win. This Premium will be added to the Hammer Price in your invoice.

Payment: Full payment must be received by the seller before the payment deadline. Accepted payment methods are Check, ACH, eCheck or Wire. You have Three (3) Business Days from the day the auction closes to make payment. Please do not bid if you cannot secure payment by the payment deadline. Your account will be flagged in the event of a non-payment. Please only bid on items you can follow thru and purchase, we hate re-listing items!

New Customers: The easiest way to pay is to send us an image of your company check, which we will process as an eCheck. Fast, easy, and zero costs to process.

Special Notice to International Bidders: We greatly appreciate your business. In the past, we have tried to work with you on payment and shipping. We have no problem with holding equipment for up to 30 days for shipping, but it MUST be PAID for within 3 DAYS. We will work with you on trying to complete a container, but PLEASE do not bid if you cannot meet these conditions. We do not like to re-list items!

Equipment Storage/Abandonment: Items purchased and not picked up/shipped within 30 days are subject to storage charges unless previous arrangements are made. Items purchased and not picked up/shipped within 3 months will be considered Abandoned and will be forfeit unless other arrangements are made in writing with PS.

Refund Deniability:

  1. We reserve the right to deny refunds for equipment considered abandoned.
  2. We reserve the right to deny refunds due to not paying for shipping costs; please do not bid if you're not willing to pay for shipping! Feel free to contact Logistics@PrinterStrategies.com for a shipping quote.
Remember, the cost of the lot you win has no impact on the shipping cost.
