Bidding extensions
If a bid is placed within 5 minutes of lot ending, remaining bidding time will be extended to 5 minutes.

Description
We admit, we know little about the "plastic & wire" side of printing. Here's what we know about htis machine in Layman's terms:
There are two imagesetters offered in this lot. We are told they are PantherPlus (we believe the actual manufacturer is Varityper). One is connected and running using the older Apple computer pictured. Its an Infra Red machine. It runs using a software RIP installed on the computer and also stored on factory 3.5 floppys included. it has a dongle and the full set of books. The books tell us that it is capable of 3048 dpi. It runs material from 8" to 13.3" wide. Ol' Jim tells us the machine can image either film or plate material. The interface to this machine is SCSI or ethernet. Included in this lot is a second PantherPlus imagesetter equipped with Helium-Neon laser that was sitting dormant. Ol' Jim tells us that it is a "low hours" machine It appears from some paperwork we found that Jim bought the machine new in 1995 for $37,000. We are assuming since there is only one computer, one set of RIP software and evidently only one dongle that the machines were intended to be networked together.
Thats about the extent that this " iron & rubber " printer can tell you up front with confidence about these machines. We have the books and some expert resources and we will be happy to field any specific questions you might have. What we don't have is Ol' Jim. He is somewhere in the everglades catching tarpon and feeding the mosquitos. He is mighty hard-to-find these days. Retirement wasn't an easy decision and we're sure he just wants to find the shop empty. Please help us!
$95 gets this machine on a custom skid, condensed for shipping economy, banded, wrapped, loaded, weighed and priced from our carriers with deep shipping discounts. Freight documentation origination included.

All items sold "as, where is" with no express or implied warranties
beyond item description. While condition is a matter of opinion, seller
has made every effort to describe items accurately. Inspection offered
by appointment. No Returns. Items are offered without reserve for sale
to the highest bidder and are subject to a 9% buyers Premium.
Items remaining after the removal time without prior arrangements will
be considered abandoned. Buyer forfeits all rights, title and interest
to abandoned items, A bid made on WireBids is considered a binding
contract to purchase and subject to fees if the prevailing bidder fails
to complete the transaction. All items must be paid for in full prior to
removal, Any disputes are subject to the laws and jurisdiction of the
state of Indiana. Non-exempt Indiana purchasers are subject to 7%
Indiana State Sales Tax.

Shipping Info
Shipping is
responsibility of the buyer. Shipping point is a ground level venue with
forktruck onsite in zip code 46048. Seller will assist with shipping:
Seller will assist with loading a truck or trailer for free. Seller offers to skid, wrap, band and load most items on a common carrier for a fee. Seller offers to shop for and arrange for domestic shipping via common carrier and apply our deep discount to the rate billed to the buyer. Seller will assist with International shipping and accomodate international absentee buyers. Delivery via sellers truck
is available within reasonable distances from Indiana. Seller is a UPS shipper.
