Description

The Bryce 24kp has its own photo eye that triggers a print from the records loaded into it. So when you are watching an inserting run the Pinnacle collates all the materials and pushes into the outer envelope. When you are matching the letter enclosed with the outer envelope(#10 regular --2-Way match) the outer envelopes trigger and print in the sequential order (#1-end of file) they were loaded into the Bryce printer. Since it’s a blind match the letter & envelope should be inspected before sealing Off-Line. Our personnel take a handful (20 pieces) off the belt and verify that piece # 20 has match of letter to outside envelope. If it does we send the handful of unsealed letters through an Ascom Hassler base with sealer to moisten and seal then place into the mail tray. All the while the inserter is still running - next handful - inspect last piece then seal. If/ when a mismatch occurs stop the inserter and manually rematch the pieces on the belt before sealing. Some jobs run thousands before a mismatch occurs depending on how accurate the folder operator is. If the pocket feeding letters picks up a double then the person catching and sealing should find it, rematch the correct names and seal.

The Ascom Hassler bases are where we would likely place the stamp on the outer envelope while sealing unless the envelope has an indicia.
