Bidding extensions
If a bid is placed within 5 minutes of lot ending, remaining bidding time will be extended to 5 minutes.

Description
a fine old Ludlow Hot Metal typecasting Machine manufactured by the Ludlow Typographic Machine Company of Chicago Illinois. Electric pot with analog pyrometer. One composing stick and an assortment of tools as pictured. Includes parts book from 1984. Hot metal typecasters are gettin mighty rare these days. If you have aspirations of ever setting type from hot metal, you will want this fine old machine. No matrices. The matrices for this machine were stolen by ballsy renters who sold them for their scrap brass value. Mats are readily available from our good friend Don Black in Canada. Not bad considering you can build your own library of fonts as you desire and not be stuck with a whole lot of unwanted baggage. Serial number 6685. working up until the day it was unwired.

All items sold "as, where is" with no express or implied warranties beyond item description. While condition is a matter of opinion, seller has made every effort to describe items accurately. Inspection offered by appointment. No Returns. Items are offered without reserve for sale to the highest bidder and are subject to a 5% buyers Premium. Items remaining after the removal time without prior arrangements will be considered abandoned. Buyer forfeits all rights, title and interest to abandoned items, A bid made on WireBids is considered a binding contract to purchase and subject to fees if the prevailing bidder fails to complete the transaction. All items must be paid for in full prior to removal, Any disputes are subject to the laws and jurisdiction of the state of Indiana. Non-exempt Indiana purchasers are subject to 7% Indiana State Sales Tax.

Shipping Info
Shipping is responsibility of the buyer. Shipping point is a ground level venue with forktruck onsite in zip code 46040. Seller will assist with shipping: Seller will assist with loading a truck or trailer for free. Seller offers to skid, wrap, band and load most items on a common carrier for a $50 fee. Seller offers to shop for and arrange for domestic shipping via common carrier and apply our deep discount to the rate billed to the buyer. Seller will assist with International shipping and accomodate international absentee buyers. Delivery via sellers truck is available within reasonable distances from Indianapolis. The Heidelberg GTO will require special loading efforts and seller offers to manage those efforts (fees may apply). Seller is a UPS shipper.
