Canon iPF8000S
The imagePROGRAF iPF8000S has many features that appeal to the professional image maker, both in regards to creativity and cost effectiveness. Features such as automatic clogged nozzle detection and compensation, the availability of 330ml and 700ml ink tanks, and ink usage tracking help users keep an eye on the bottom line, while a large backlit LCD panel provides greater ease of use, and multiple media handling options and an impressive software suite allow users to expand their creativity with images. Furthermore, the impressive longevity of the prints (actual print life is dependent upon media and display environment) will lead to greater customer/end-user satisfaction when the printer is used in a commercial production environment.
8 color LUCIA Ink Technology
The innovative color configuration increases print efficiency by dispersing eight colors of ink across twelve ink channels of the two print heads for better ink coverage with each pass and greater productivity without sacrificing image quality. The 8 colors of LUCIA ink provide for a dynamic color gamut, while the inclusion of Gray alongside Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta helps to create smooth gradations and reduced graininess, creating a crisp monotone output. Furthermore, Black, Matte Black and Gray inks combine to help optimize black density regardless of media type to reproduce better gray tones for smoother transitions from white to black.
Advanced Dual Print Head
Engineered for speed and advanced image production, the iPF8000S boasts Canon's dual print head system using twin PF-03 heads to lay down ink with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Unlike conventional printers with a single print head, the high-precision, high density print heads provides a total of 30,720 nozzles that lay down precise 4 picoliter-size ink droplets to produce sharp detail and excellent image quality. An innovative ink channel configuration accelerates print efficiency by distributing the eight colors of ink reciprocally across the two print heads for better ink coverage with each pass.
L-COA Print Controller
The imagePROGRAF iPF8000 printer is built around Canon's innovative L-COA (Large-format printer COmmon Architecture) controller, a highly advanced system processor that dynamically optimizes output speed and print quality based on the type of image being printed and the media used. Combined with Canon's dual print head system, the L-COA controller helps achieve impressive print speeds.
Economy Print Mode
The Economy Print Mode produces 1200 x 1200 dpi output at 211 ft2/hr on coated and uncoated paper stocks while reducing ink consumption by 10% to 20%. This feature regulates the use of Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta inks to produce high quality output at a lower total cost.
Built in 80GB Hard Drive
Increased hard drive storage space within the iPF8000S increases productivity by relieving workload from the host PC while providing a large capacity for print job data storage and retrieval. This 80GB hard drive enables job data to be stored in protected mail boxes for easy access and printing.
Built in Calibration
The iPF8000S printer is equipped with the ability to easily reset back to the original optimal factory settings and apply any necessary adjustments across all the printer's media types in just minutes. At the same time this creates a stable, predictable printing platform on which superior results can be consistently achieved. The system has built-in calibration sensors that help compensate for adverse environmental conditions while providing a predictable platform for color management and consistent color reproduction.
Borderless Printing
The imagePROGRAF iPF8000S printer can produce 4-sided edge to edge borderless prints, with roll media of widths from 10 - 42" and utilizing the built-paper cutter.
Extensive Media Compatibility
The imagePROGRAF iPF8000S is compatible with many different types of media including media for signage such as polypropylene, vinyl or Tyvek; Photo and Proofing papers such as Premium RC paper or heavyweight matte paper; plain papers such as bond paper and cover paper, even fine art papers and media such as Photo Rag, German Etching, Watercolor, and canvas cloth. Media can be loaded either from rolls with a core diameter of 2 or 3" (with optional 3" core roll holder), or you can feed individual cut sheets of paper, and the media can also be quite thick with a maximum thickness of 0.8mm (31.4mil). The durable rotary cutter makes output from the printer easier to manage, and enables borderless printing with roll papers.
Automatic Switching of Black Inks
The iPF8000S printer utilizes two different black ink formulations to maximize image quality. The Regular Black ink produces high quality prints on photo glossy type media while the Matte Black ink exhibits high contrast prints with deep black on media such as fine art paper. The printer is able to automatically switch between Regular Black and Matte Black at the time of printing. All that the user needs to do is choose the paper type and the iPF8000S will use the appropriate black ink.
Non-firing Detection and Compensation Function
The imagePROGRAF iPF8000S is capable of detecting clogged or non-firing nozzles; and when detected, a print head cleaning cycle is automatically executed. If the nozzle remains obstructed, the iPF8000S will automatically compensate by rerouting the ink to functioning nozzles.

Note: Buyers premium is 10% If invoice is paid by Check, ACH, eCheck or Wire. Due to fraud, credit cards will only be accepted for current customers with a 3% up-charge. New customers the easiest way to pay is to send us an image of your company check, which we will process as an eCheck. Fast, easy, and zero costs to process.
Lots will end 2 minutes apart unless they are extended in 5-minute increments by a new bid in the last 5 minutes.

We are selling the best assets of multiple printing companies in one auction. We DO NOT provide any warranties or guarantees. All items are presumed to be in working condition when taken out of service. Printer Strategies strongly encourages bidders to come and inspect the items in person, or to send a representative to evaluate the item(s) for their own self-interest.
Please see Shipping Details for more information on how to get the items shipped to winning bidders at the close of the auction. One important note is that as always, we will load your truck or help you arrange transport, and corner boards / stretch wrap are included with the winning bid. Also, a standard 40x48 pallet with strapping is included with your winning lot for free if your item fits.
The majority of equipment is located in our warehouse in St. Charles Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. We are 15 minutes from the airport and centrally located near many major US highways. We welcome you to come see lots in person prior to bidding. For those not visiting, we have done our best to provide as much information about these items as possible. The descriptions are taken primarily from the manufacturer’s website. There are things we do not have perfect knowledge of because features change. When there is a discrepancy between the written description and the actual item, the photographs will win out. You are bidding on the items in the photographs, not the written descriptions. Please make sure to look over ALL images. All listings show the actual location of the items, should you want to inspect an item not at our St. Charles warehouse, contact us to help you set that up.
Special Notice International Bidders: We greatly appreciate your business. In the past, we have tried to work with you on payment and shipping. We have no problem with holding equipment for up to 30 days for shipping, but it MUST be PAID for within 3 DAYS. We will work with you on trying to complete a container, but PLEASE do not bid if you cannot meet these conditions. We do not like to re-list items!
Payment Deadline is 3 Business Days after auction closes.
Items purchased and not picked up or delivered within 30 days are subject to storage charges unless previous arrangements are made. Items purchased and not picked up within 3 months will be considered abandoned and will be forfeit unless other arrangements are made in writing with PS.
Terms: All items are sold as is. We do not provide any warranties or guarantees unless given in writing in advance by PS. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to read all the Seller’s terms and conditions, including the terms listed in the description under each listing. Some items may be refurbished or otherwise may provide some guarantees, if so, that will be clearly noted in the item description. Those guarantees only exist for that specific item.
Binding Contract: If you are the highest bidder on a lot when the lot closes, you agree to purchase that lot for the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium.
Buyer’s Premium: You agree to pay a buyer’s premium of 10% of the hammer price in addition to the hammer price of a lot you win. This premium will be added to the hammer price in your invoice.
Payment: Full payment must be received by the seller before the payment deadline. You have Three (3) business days from the day the auction closes to make payment. Please do not bid if you cannot secure payment by the payment deadline. Your account will be flagged in the event of a non-payment. Please only bid on items you can follow thru and purchase, we hate re-listing items!
Shipping Info
Winning bidders are responsible for the costs of shipping lots. Pickups at our St. Charles warehouse are always free, and we have both dock and drive up doors, as well as outside access and forklifts to load your truck, trailer, or flat bed. Some smaller items may fit into personal vehicles, and we can assist in loading them as well.
Printer Strategies would like to deliver your equipment with our truck if you are in the Midwest USA, especially if you are trading something in to us. We love buying your old equipment when we drop off your new item. Please contact us for more information.
Commercial trucks are welcome, and you can set them up directly or we can assist you.
All Items located in the Printer Strategies warehouse in St. Charles MO will be loaded onto a truck at no additional cost. If we can put your item on a standard 40 x 48 skid, we will do so for no additional cost. This service includes band strapping, corner boards, and stretch wrap as needed. We continue to offer custom pallets and packaging (i.e. crating) however those services will be by quote. Items on wheels can be packaged with corner boards and stretch wrap, and then blanket wrapped and strapped to the truck at no additional cost over that of the truck. As always, Printer Strategies is happy to assist in arranging shipping, or you may arrange your own, including free pick ups. Firm shipping quotes that we provide will be after payment for your winning bid. Estimates available anytime. Once the auction is paid, we will pack the item per your requirements (i.e. on wheels for blanket wrapped and strapped, on a pallet for LTL, disassembled for personal pickup) and provide you with the dimensions and weights of your items. If we are arranging your shipping, we will provide you a second invoice for shipping only once you have approved the quote, or you may set up your own shipping with the weights and dims / pictures of packed goods per your request. This is a 2 step process because we cannot know in advance how you would like your item(s) shipped, but we will work with you to make it simple.
